MMO Concept and Production Artist
Undisclosed Game Studio, 2006-Present
Lead Artist pro tem, 2007-2008; assembled concept and production art team for development of children's MMO. Work involves extensive concepting followed by low-poly character and level modeling in 3D Studio Max and texturing in Photoshop for Shockwave output, as well as concepts and graphics in Illustrator for associated Flash mini-games.
Lead Illustrator for LEGO® Knights' Kingdom
The LEGO Group, 2003-2005
Responsible for production of illustrations for package exteriors,
in-box comics, trading cards, magazine pages, and other promotional
artwork for LEGO's Knights' Kingdom theme, singly and leading
small art-production groups.
LEGO® Concept Design and Product Development
The LEGO Group, 2002-2006
Product development in all stages from initial ideation and
concepting through model-building and final marketing pitch
illustrations. Projects included LEGO Vikings, LEGO EXO-Force,
and LEGO Knights' Kingdom. Knights' Kingdom won the Toy Industry
Association's Toy of the Year Award in 2005 in the Boys' Toy
category, and was among LEGO's top-performing themes in 2004
and 2005 sales.
Freelance Illustration and Design
1999-Present
Freelance illustration, concept design, and web design for
advertising, marketing, product development, and book illustration,
working primarily in Photoshop but occasionally with Illustrator,
Maya, Dreamweaver, Flash, and C++. Past clients include The
Jim Henson Company, TBWA/Chiat/Day, Scholastic Inc., and Concept 2 Creation.
